Our Charity Work

Charity and Conservation

Here at Bison, we pride ourselves on our commitment to others, be that through our impeccable service or through our regular charity support.

Since March 2020, we’ve been donating £1 directly to the NHS for every new LinkedIn follower. To date we have given over £5000 to our ‘Healthcare Hero’s’ – this is increasing every day!  Follow our progress on our Just Giving page. We also donate every month to Macmillan Cancer Support and the Rapid Relief Team and regularly to the Naomi House Children’s Hospice  – in appreciation of the excellent work these charities carry out.

NEW FOREST WILDLIFE PARK

Set in the picturesque New Forest National Park, the NFWP has a passion for conservation, and boasts its own breeding herd of European bison. Situated just 14 miles from BISON’s HQ in Southampton, the Park’s herd is geographically our closest relative, and in 2019 we were delighted to sponsor Leszek, a 12 year old male born in Ireland. The Park now has another male and two females, with the first bison calf born in May 2020.

We’re watching the herd’s progress keenly as they settle in and grow as a team and create a legacy for the future. Just like what we’re trying to achieve at BISON.

WILDER BLEAN

In 2021 the Kent Wildlife Trust and the Wildwood Trust launched a project called Wilder Blean, a flagship wilding initiative in southeast England that aims to support the introduction of the UK’s first free-roaming European bison herd.

Naturally, with the subject species being close to our hearts, we were delighted to contribute our support for this fantastic rewilding initiative. With a new habitat of over 1300 acres of field and woodland in which to roam freely, the bison create positive change in woodlands by feeding on bark and creating dust baths which benefit other species.

Some good parallels with what we’re doing at BISON then – creating a unique service that benefits our clients and the MEP sector at large.
